Mencap - Make With Me

Mencap recently launched a new crafts initiative called Make with Me, this is to encourage people to make crafts, organise craft  parties whilst fundraising for Mencap.

Make with me now, love it forever.
Whatever you make, make a difference.

Mencap want everyone of all ages and abilities to start making and baking in aid of Mencap to show your support for people with a learning disability.

How you can help:

• Download free recipe and project cards.
• Organise make and bake parties.
• Make or bake a personalised Me and add it to the Mencap Me gallery.

Make for Macmillan

Make for Macmillan, an online auction site of handmade items to sell to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Having been diagnosed with cancer on Nov 10, Clare decided that she wanted something good to come out of her diagnoses. So here is her new baby Make for Macmillan.

Please support this great cause by creating and donating something you have made, if you are not crafty you can simply donate money or you can donate crafty materials (or socks) which we can turn into something to sell to make money for Macmillan!

K9 Rescue Knitting Club

Formed in 2006 the K9 Rescue Knitting Club are a crafty network of knitters around the UK who give their time and creativity for free for the benefit of rescue dogs.
 

During 2010 they have been supporting two charities: Dogs Trust (as they do every year) and The Little Dog Rescue. The group make and sell handmade dog coats, snoods and a range of beautifully handcrafted quilts.

You can help by either purchasing a dog coat from their website or if you would like to knit for the K9 Rescue Knitting Club, then they have some simple patterns that they can email to you for free!
